An Analysis of the Effect of Smoking Cessation by Aroma

Abstract
This study conducted the effects of smoking cessation with the supplement by using the cognitive-behavioral smoking cessation education and aroma. As to the overall smoking rate of the subjects, they showed the smoking cessation rate of 68.4% but it dropped to 38.2% closely by half. Later, as it was getting decrease, it showed 7.9% at the 60th day, 20.6% between 90 and 150 days, and 1.3% at the 180th day. The smoking cessation rate of the smoking students who used the aroma supplement for smoking cessation showed higher figure by 7.43 times after 14days, 5.16times after 21days, and 12.41 times after 28 days than the smoking students without the aroma supplement for smoking cessation, which was statistically significant.
The result was significant up to two month after a five day smoking cessation professional training, but since then it was not statistically significant.
